Capriccio Flutes, the high school flute ensemble, are directed by Katherine Draney. This choir builds on the individual and ensemble skills presented in the Prelude Classes, with the goal to take small ensemble music into the community. Students earn community service points doing something they really enjoy!

The 2022-2023 season will begin Wednesday, September 7th, 2022, 5:15-6:45 pm.  The director may find it necessary to adjust rehearsal times slightly to help meet the individual needs of the students.  This offers the best instructional experience.

Students must bring their own C flute and a Win-D-Fenderif required (See our COVID policy for Win-D-Fender requirements). Students will be given the opportunity to play the Flute Frenzy piccolos, alto flute and bass flute. There will be occasional activities planned with the other youth groups, and capriccio members will participate in the two annual Flute Frenzy concerts.

Tuition for the academic year is $350, payable by the year, or by semester: $150 Fall/ Winter; $200 Spring (begins January 4). Tuition includes professional instruction, sheet music, and use of Flute Frenzy owned instruments during rehearsals.

Clicking 'Enroll Now' will give you the option to pay through PayPal.  You will also be given instructions for payment by check.

For specific payment arrangements or to apply for need-based tuition assistance, please communicate directly with the treasurer.
