Flute Frenzy’s Fantasia choir, for college-age and beyond amateur and professional flutists, rehearses weekly on Wednesdays. Directed by Margaret Carlson, this group performs at various community events, such as The Occasion for the Arts and the Williamsburg Farmers Market, gives several public concerts per year, and is available for concerts at retirement homes or similar venues.
The 2020-2021 season will begin Wednesday, September 16, 2020, 7:00-8:00 p.m., meeting virtually until that time when we can meet in person. Fantasia’s virtual rehearsals will include group flute lessons at two comfort levels, focusing on improving tone and technical skills, as well as sectional rehearsals on music which will be performed in a public concert planned for February 2021. The program offers possibilities for both small and large ensemble performance. Flute Frenzy owned alto flutes, bass flutes, and piccolos, are available for use by members during in-person rehearsals.
