Overture Flute Class

This class prepares students to enter the regular Prelude choir. Students must be able to read and play at least five notes to enroll. No audition required.

Overture is our tuition-free class for beginning flutists in 5th or 6th grade in their first year playing flute.
Taught by Flute Frenzy's Artistic Director, Sean Arawjo, the class instruction will focus on the basics of tone production and flute technique, such as tonguing and hand position, with the goal of preparing students to enter the Prelude Flute Choir.
Students are eligible for this class once they are able to read and play at least *five* notes. Students must supply their own C flutes.
Registration is closed for the 2026 class. Check back in the fall of 2026 for details regarding the 2027 class!
Parents are invited to a Meet-and-Greet with the Directors during the first class of the session (Jan. 7th), from 5:45 - 6:00 pm.
