Welcome to Flute Frenzy!

In this section you will find general information about the Flute Frenzy organization and details of Flute Frenzy activities.



You have joined one of the most unique non-profit associations in the area, where

flutists of all ages play flutes of all sizes. Flutists will rehearse with others in their age group, with rehearsals sometimes

overlapping to play music together with other groups.

Many concerts will include performances by all ensembles.

The Flute Frenzy handbook contains all of the information you need to know as a member of Flute Frenzy, including policies for attendance, dress for concerts, lists of the board members, and answers to most of the questions you might ask.

If you are a new Fantasia member, you will be issued a Binder at the first rehearsal.

If you are returning, please bring your binder; we will have new cover pages available at the first rehearsal.

When we meet:


Typical Wednesday rehearsal schedule:


5:15-6:45 p.m. Capriccio (high-school)

5:30-6:45 p.m. Prelude (middle-school)

7:00-8:45 p.m. Fantasia (college and beyond)


The rehearsal immediately prior to a concert performance is the "Dress Rehearsal." Schedules may be adjusted for this rehearsal to provide time to rehearse all of the repertoire. Please be flexible.


The rehearsal/performance calendar is continually adjusted as requests come in for performances from the various ensembles, The calendar on this page will be updated regularly.

Flute Frenzy owned instruments will be assigned to one individual only for a concert preparation period. If you wish to borrow the instrument to practice it at home, please fill out the form below and read carefully before signing. A board member will also need to sign the form before you can take the instrument home. You will need to take responsibility for caring for the instrument properly, including cleaning as outlined in the handbook, as well as on the document below. Submit this form to the treasurer, Cherry Robinson.

Your director will select and provide music for you. Most of the time you will receive this by email or via a link to a folder of music. This music needs to be printed, hole-punched, and secured in your binder, and brought to every rehearsal and performance.

Flute Frenzy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit association. Board meetings take place monthly, usually on the 2nd Monday of the month.
